CHOI Jangwon received his master's degree in architecture from Columbia University(GSAPP) after graduating from Chung-ang University. His proposal for National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea was selected as the winner of 'Young Architects Program' by Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2014, followed by receiving 'Young Artist Award' from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Korea, 'Kim Soo Keun Prize Preview Award' in 2015 and 'the Rising Architect Award' in 2017. He is currently an adjunct professor at Chung-ang University and a principle architect of Farming Architecture that he founded in 2013.
최장원은 중앙대학교 건축학과와 컬럼비아 건축대학원을 졸업하고, 2013년 건축사무소 건축농장을 설립하였다. 그의 작품 '신선놀음(2014)’은 국립현대미술관과 뉴욕현대미술관, 현대카드가 공동주최한 ‘젊은 건축가 프로그램(Young Architects Program)’의 첫번째 당선작(프로젝트 팀 문지방)으로 선정되었다. 2015년 문화체육관광부가 주관하는 '오늘의 젊은 예술가상' 건축부문과 '김수근 건축상프리뷰상', 2017년에는 ‘대한민국 신진건축사대상’ 우수상을 수상하였다. 현재 중앙대학교 건축학과 겸임교수와 건축농장 소장으로 활동하고 있다.
