새로운 질서를 부여하여 다양한 공간적 경험과 체험을 가능하게 한다. 월드컵 분수대의 기억과 형식을 중심에 두어 위요된 공간을 구성한다. 휘감듯이 둘러쳐진 부드러운 유선형의 산책로는 오르내리며 다른 높이를 가진 스파이럴의 형식이며 각각의 레벨에서 다양한 한강의 풍경과 수공간을 경험하게 할 것이다. 물위의 친수공간은 바라만보던 한강의 경험을 만져지고 느껴지는 다양한 체험과 시각적 경험을 가능하게 한다. 물안개와 분수, 스크린과 레이저쇼등 다양한 장치들과 수공간들은 스파이럴의 내부에서 뿐만 아니라 선유도의 상부전망데크나 하안부분의 관람데크등에서도 다양한 시각적 이벤트를 제공한다. 선유보원은 그렇게 한강과 선유도에서 풍경의 일부가 된다. 빛과 바람, 풍경, 사람들의 움직임처럼 비정형적인 것들을 담아내는 특별한 능력을 갖추고 있다. 최장원은 〈비정형의 문들〉을 통해 문의 구조적 특징을 재해석하고 다양한 방식으로 평면과 입체를 혼합하여 타이폴로지를 구축함으로써 물리적으로 움직이는 문이 아닌, ‘빛과 소리’를 이용하여 ‘열림/닫힘/그 사이’를 보여준다. 〈비정형의 문들〉은 지속해서 변화하고 흔적을 남기지 않는 또 다른 유형의 타이포그래피를 제시한다. (기술자문, 사운드 디자인: 미디어 아티스트 권병준) Jangwon Choi 〈Informal Doors〉 The door is the only object allowed to move among the various elements of architecture and a boundary for special moments. The door sometimes becomes a wall, an opening that is presumed to be closed and has a special ability to contain atypical things like light, wind, landscape, and movement of people. Through the 〈Informal Doors〉, Jang-Won Choi constructs a typology by reinterpreting the structural features of the door and mixing planes and solids in various ways. He uses ‘light and sound’ rather than physically moving door to show ‘open/close/between’. 〈Informal Doors〉 presents another type of typography that is constantly changing and leaves no trace.
